The village Knaben in Kvinesdal are built on mining operations, and is known for its molybdenum recovery. Molybdenum was important in the armaments industry and the Germans built during WW2 big party-ning facilities around Knaben. In 1943, the mines were twice attacked by allied bombers. Join a guided tour in the mines with visits to the old mining museum.
Knaben is also a great spot in winter with its own ski and activity center.
Knaben is located approximately 1.5 hours drive from the hotel.
